James Cramer, is a multi-instrumentalist, performer and songwriter from Dublin.
His song “Lyra McKee’ has been covered by the legend Christy Moore on his new album ‘A Terrible Beauty’, recently released. Other songs have been covered by the likes of Derek Ryan and James has also co-written with well-known Irish artists like Hermitage Green, Luan Parle, and Eleanor McEvoy.
He leads the alt-folk band Tupelo, which has released three albums of original music and toured sold-out shows in Denmark and Holland, as well as festivals and events in Ireland, the UK, France, Belgium, Norway, Russia, and the USA. James captivates audiences whether performing for large crowds or in smaller venues.
His solo music has also gained attention, particularly with the song “My World Again,” which was featured in the Canadian reality show “Hello Goodbye.” Another song, “The Shriven Dust,” appeared in the show's next season. “The Road to Kinawley,” from his first solo project “The Lights of Lisnaskay,” was included in the BBC adaptation of Sally Rooney’s “Normal People” and has over 200,000 streams on Spotify. Recent collaborations with Norwegian producer Eirik Molnes Husabø, James produced singles “Simple Man,” a powerful pop song, and “My Darkest Hour,” a thoughtful ballad.
